Our students are able to interact appropriately and effectively with native speakers of 西班牙语 in real-life situations whether in the U.S. 还是在国外, after learning at 熟练 levels defined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages and the Common European Framework of Reference.
Students can chose from a variety of 西班牙语 classes: conversation, 作文, culture (Latin America and Spain), 文学, film and professional 西班牙语 (business, 卫生保健, 可持续性). Students also can obtain a teaching licensure in 西班牙语 in conjunction with the School of Education and Health Sciences.
Students engage with one another in an active learning environment while being mentored closely by 西班牙语 faculty.
Study Abroad with 西班牙语 Faculty
Language faculty provide students with the opportunity to attend a month-long study abroad program during the summer and take two 西班牙语 courses, 获得6个学分. Students are immersed in the culture, 住在寄宿家庭, enjoy excursions to area sites and further develop their language skills.
